When we pray we always say “thy will be done”. After all, we know that is how the Bible instructs us to pray. In Matthew it says “for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him”. However, the problem is that we sometimes say one thing with our mouth but do another thing with our actions. When the answers to our prayers come into our life and they aren’t what we were expecting or exactly what we asked for, we have a tendency to think it can’t be from God. We have to learn to fully submit our words and our thoughts over to God so that when we pray “thy will be done” we aren’t really saying “my will be done”.
